I have been retained as an expert on numerous cases relating to funeral and cemetery practices. I have acted as a liaison between funeral directors and the Department of Consumer Affairs. I have written articles for Mortuary Management Magazine. I have advised clients on matters relating to current rules and regulations. I have represented clients at formal disciplinary hearings before the Department of Consumer Affairs.

Fifteen (15) years experience as an Investigator and Auditor for the Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.

Duties included:

Lead Auditor for the Funeral Preneed Trust Program - Performed Approximately 1,500 to 2,000 Audits.
Complaint investigator - Investigated Approximately 1000 Formal Complaints against Licensed Funeral Directors alleging violations of California Codes and Regulations.
Expert witness - The State's Expert Witness in Approximately 150 Cases before Administrative Law Judges and Superior Court Judges against Licensed Funeral Directors alleging violations of California Codes and Regulations.
Application review and processing - Continuous over 15 Year Period
Auditor/Investigator for the Cemetery Board - Investigated Approximately 50 Formal Complaints against Cemeteries and Crematories alleging violations of California Codes and Regulations. Special assitant to the Chief administering the Cemetery program. Consulted with industry and legislature on cemetery issues.
Expert Testimony at Legislative Hearings - Continuous over 15 Year Period.
